Case Studies - Xpressphoto Event Photographers

Hibernian Football Club contacted us when they won the Scottish Cup. Within a few days we had arranged to photograph all the fans with the Scottish Cup and print onsite.  They included one print in their ticket and we sold extra ones on the day.  We arranged a fixed price per print with the client which enabled them to  collect funds per print for the club.  The job ran from June 2016 to January 2017. We arranged and had printed branded mounts for this event.

We also covered the photography for the Hibernian Football Club at their training facility outside Edinburgh.  We again printed onsite.

Having seen us in action we were approached to cover a testimonial evening for Lewis Stevenson at the Corn Exchange Edinburgh to take photos and print onsite with branded mounts.

Over the years we have photographed numerous santa's grottos including Jenners and Dobbies.  We trialled event photography for them in various stores throughout the UK when they were considering introducing this to their stores for their customers. Guests to the grotto can go home with prints with branded mounts and Christmas giftware.

We were delighted to be asked to photograph from the very top of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge when it was their 125th anniversary.  Our photographers required to go up and down in the lift with each group and then our team at our sales trailer printed photos onsite to allow all the guests to go home with a print of their experience.

Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce wished to cover their awards event.  We provided corporate photography which captured the whole event and set up a greenscreen with their corporate sponsors to allow the winners to have their photos taken and go home with a print of their award.  We did this on an all inclusive basis which allowed up to an agreed number of prints to be printed onsite.  We also provided them with a USB of all photos taken on the night.

One of our more fun events was at the Highland Show near Edinburgh when we were engaged by Albert Bartlett in conjunction with DIsney to photograph at their stand.  We were delighted when Buzz and Woody from Toystory arrived to have their photographs taken with kids.  We arranged a fixed price to photograph over the weekend and print 6x4 photos out with branded mounts for the event  It turned out to be one of the best stands at the show. They then commissioned us to take photos at a showing of Toystory2 which they were holding for their staff and families.  Before the viewing we took photos of the families against a Toystory backdrop and prints the photos onsite for them to take home with them. The kids loved it!

CHSS contacted us regarding their Forth Bridge Abseil which they hold twice a year.  In the past they had taken photos themselves on a walkway taken participants addresses and money, printed the photos themselves and posted them out.  This proved to be a massive headache for the event organisers.  We were brought in to streamline this process and for many years have been taking photos at the top of the bridge of the abseilers our photographers being harnessed to the bridge structure.  Using our technology when the abseilers reach the bottom their photos are ready to view and print onsite.  This has created a massive buzz to the event with over 600 people usually taking part. A percentage of the sales goes to the charity which allows them to make funds without having the headache of taking, printing and sending photos themselves.

Consulegis were holding their AGN and Spring Conference  in Edinburgh and hired us to take conference photos but also to take a group photo of all the delegates and print one out for each of them to take home.

For a number of years we covered the Caledonian Challenge which was one of the biggest outdoor events in Scotland.  We provided photographic service for the competitors both along the route and at the finish line.  This required us to have numerous photographers round the course for the 24 hours of the event.  We did not sell onsite but put the photos into galleries by their team number and offered these for sale online.  This cost nothing to the event organisers but gave their competitors a unique photo from the event.

Ellen MacArthur Foundation originally contacted us to provide photo services in Scotland on a tour of schools that Ellen was doing for her Foundation.  This involved photographing table shots of Ellen with school kids and printing onsite for the kids to take home.  After they had done a further event in England they then requested that we cover not only Scotland but also England and Ireland on their tour due to our outstanding service.  We would add that Ellen is one of the most inspirational people we have ever met!

Nike Europe contacted us to photograph their event at Archerfield Golf Club near Edinburgh.  We were hired for the full weekend doing a variety of different photography for them.  We did a full corporate photoshoot of the entire weekend event, photographed people with Rory McIlory and other pro golfers and printed onsite for guests to take a memento of the day home.

First Direct wanted something a little different for their staff christmas event.  They decided on a masquerade ball and we designed and provided a masquerade ball themed greenscreen background with props and photographed all the staff members who received a print to take away with them, this proved extremely popular and we were rushed off our feet from start to finish.

Rangers Boys Football Club asked that we attend their awards ceremony where the kids could  have their photos taken with Rangers Players and mascot.  We printed onsite and gave a percentage back to the club for their funds.
