Event Photos

Rhoddy Stewart lead Event Photographer of Xpressphoto joined Event-Photos.co.uk the nationwide event photography service provider last year and has been covering events in Scotland.

We  were delighted to have been appointed as Scottish representatives for Event-Photos. Ian Griffiths’ ethos “be professional, do it right” squares exactly with our way of doing business, and our operations dovetail well.

Ian Griffiths of Event-Photos commented; we had been looking for a professional partner to work with in Scotland for some time, Rhoddy and his team fitted the bill perfectly. The addition of Rhoddy brings the Event-Photos network to 34teams nationwide.

Professional event photography is no longer just about turning up at an event with a laptop and a couple of printers in the boot of your car, our customer base has become much more sophisticated and expects not just great event photographs but a truly professional experience and great customer service, when I first met with Rhoddy it was like someone turned the light on! Our aims and expectations were a perfect match; any “weekend warrior” simply cannot stand alongside Rhoddy and his team with any kind of credibility.

Xpressphoto will continue to cover events throughout the whole of Scotland in 2009

Scottish Open Karate Championships 2009

3986PHEW!!!! WHAT A WEEKEND…..

We spent the weekend at Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh providing Event Photography to the Scottish Open Karate Championships 2009.  There was a great atmosphere and the 900 or so adults and children who attended from among other countries, Scotland, England, Ireland, Armenia and Holland had a great time. Saturday we finished around 8.30pm and Sunday around 10.30pm so it was a long day.  The lighting in the hall was “interesting” to say the least (I’m sure that was not the exact word Rhoddy used!) but the D3 and D700s proved their worth being able to shoot in low light without flash.  As we were unable to be situated in the hall where the action was being held we were unable to use  our normal wireless set up to transmit the images and had to run cards to our sales unit in the foyer.  We hope that we managed to capture all the participants but as ever we apologise if you were missed. A big thank you to Hamish Adam for inviting us to attend and we hope that you enjoyed the event and will enjoy viewing the photos of the day.  We look forward to seeing you all at the next event.
