The Anthony Nolan Trust were given permission to abseil from the top of the Waterloo Monument at the top of Peniel Heugh. This is a monument , built between 1817 and 1824 to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo, standing on a hill top near to Harestanes Visitor Centre. Our two event photographers got fit climbing up the left handed spiral stairs, they said however it was worth the effort for the views from the top which they said was truly stunning. Next year The Anthony Nolan Trust will be arranging a zipslide from the top of the tower, if you are interested in participating then keep an eye on their website for the date to be announced.

Our mobile sales unit, it is demountable so can be used indoors or out. We have electricity and lights powered by our generator so we are completely self contained/sufficient and can operate anywhere.
Here is also Becky and Max at the Clydeslide on 17th May 2009. As Scotland’s leading
event photographers we can attend any indoor or outdoor event and have state of the art cameras and wireless set up, this ensures that as soon as the photograph is taken it is transmitted to our sales unit, this means we don’t have to run about with memory cards.

We have spent another great day photographing participants at the Clyde Slide in Glasgow on behalf of Sense Scotland, Epilepsy Scotland and MS Society Scotland. It was great weather and we even had our border terrier Max with us enjoying the event. Once again our Nikon wireless system with our Xpressphoto special modifications allowed Rhoddy to take event photographs of the participants which were beamed directly to our sales unit. This allowed the participants to view their photos as soon as they landed. We look forward to working with Andy from Sense Scotland in future events.

It was our great pleasure to provide the instant on site event photography at the Wallace Monument in Stirling on Saturday night. The Anthony Nolan Trust had organised an abseil down two faces of the monument. Lindsay from Anthony Nolan Trust did a great job of organising the event and keeping the crowed entertained at the bottom whilst awaiting the brave abseilers to decend. The Glasgow Climbing Centre were tasked with providing mountaineering and safety equipment and ensuring that the participants got to the bottom safely. Our wireless set up performed faultlessly allowing us to beam images from the top of the monument over 300 feet down to our mobile sales unit. You will agree when looking at the event photos that the view from the top was stunning. We were glad that the weather was kind to us that night. To view further images please look at our gallery.

Once again Children 1st surpassed themselves and delivered another excellent event at the
Prestonfield Hotel in Edinburgh kindly sponsored by Geoffrey (Tailor) Kiltmakers and Brodies, Solicitors. Rebecca, Leanne and their team decorated the venue in an Arabian Nights theme and the night was filled with fun and laughter. At one point even a camel joined the proceedings (you know who you were!!). Xpressphoto provided instant on site printing at the event, photos being taken inside an arabian souk. We look forward to seeing what the team at Children 1st come up with for this great event in 2010.

We have just heard from Action for Children that they are hoping to have raised around £30,000 from the Clydeslide on 25th April, so congratulations to the organisers and participants. The money raised will go towards helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland. As the event photographers we are delighted to have been able to give a percentage of the sales to the charity.

Its official we are now attending a party night practically every night in December………. unfortunately not as guests but as official event photographers. We are delighted to be asked back by Seamill Hydro to attend all their party nights in 2009.
If you have never been to Seamill Hydro for a party night then have a look at their website. Having photographed their 2008 christmas events we would certainly recommend them to any company or group looking to have a fun filled night. To all the regulars we look forward to photographing you all again in 2009, hopefully we can add some interesting twists to the shoots!!!
